Project Description:
The job consists of a seawall replacement and upland ground improvement for the Port of Seattle. Demolition will consist of selective removal of a portion of the existing fixed concrete pier as well as complete demolition of a 130 foot long in-lake rail structure used for launching boats. The new seawall will be a cantilever steel sheet pile wall with a cast-in-place concrete cap. Upland ground improvements call for injecting grout into the soils behind the new seawall to a depth of 20 feet.
