Project Description:
This project consists of constructing a new water treatment plant on the existing water treatment plant site. Construction of the new 42 million gallon per day rated Water Treatment Plant includes the following:
Ballasted sedimentation pretreatment facility
Multi-media filtration facility
Intermediate low-lift, backwash waste. and filter-to-waste pumping stations
Operations and control center, office spaces, and common area
Chemical facility, including:
One ton cylinder gaseous chlorine facility
Dry bulk soda ash system
Bulk liquid alum storage and feed system
Bulk liquid caustic storage and teed system
Dry polymer feed systems
Bulk micro-sand storage and feed system
Underground piping utilidor
2.1 million gallon steel finished water storage tank
Decant pump station
High service pump station and surge tank
Electrical substation upgrades and buried duct banks
Standby generation station
Yard and in-plant piping ranging in size from 2-inch to 50-inches in diameter
Plant-wide controls and instrumentation system
Performing all other associated yard piping, civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and instrumentation work required for a completely operational system as specified within the Project Manual.
